About

My Blog

I discuss a wide range of topics that interest me from my studies in anthropology and my thesis to my life as a knitter, crafts-person, and feminist. I try to be more critical than emotional in my content. I often fall short in this regard, and I occasionally post about my personal life.

Fiddlestix Podcast

I decided to add a podcast to the mix. It is primarily knitting/yarn-craft related, but I also use it to document my “get healthy 2012″ project. As I mention in part 1 of Episode 1, this is a body- and size-positive podcast. I do not desire to promote or elevate a certain body type, composition, weight, or shape over any other. I am simply trying to make myself a better, healthier person. For me, this does not mean losing weight or “body sculpting,” it simply means being confident in myself, being able to run a mile without stopping, being able to kick ass and take names in a boxing class. That being said, I hope you enjoy the podcast and return for future episodes! Have suggestions for content? Let me know by leaving a comment or contacting me via email!
